at the start of things
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials & Tribulations was originally released in 2004 as Gyakuten Saiban 3 in Japan for the Gameboy Advance, and rereleased on the DS in 2007 in Japan and North America (2008 for Europe). Unlike the previous Ace Attorney games, T&T has an overall plot line connecting multiple cases and even a "final boss" of sorts. T&T brings back Phoenix's mentor Mia Fey from the previous games by exploring some of the court cases that shaped her life and introduces a new prosecutor, the mysterious Godot.
Mia Fey
Age: 21 (Case 4) ~ 27 (at time of death)
Maya's older sister and my eternal mentor in life and law.
As a young lawyer, Mia worked for the Grossberg law firm. Though she faced substantial hardship in her first cases, she eventually grows into a strong woman and opens her own firm, where she hires Phoenix Wright. Tragically, she dies shortly after he makes his court debut, but through the Kurain Channeling Technique is able to return and assist him.
Diego Armando/Godot
Age: 27 (Case 4) ~ 33 (Case 2/3/5)
A hot-shot lawyer. My senior and rival at the office. A bit smug.
Diego Armando was an up-and-coming lawyer at Grossberg's firm when he met Mia Fey. He refused to accept the outcome of Mia's first trial and went up against one Dahlia Hawthorne directly, though it ended in tragedy when she poisoned him. For five long years Diego slept in a coma, and when he awoke he found himself in a world without Mia. And so he became the masked prosecutor Godot...
